Laurie Wright - Pawsident
Laurie has always had a love for animals, the outdoors and helping others. Through the years, she has owned various pets and is currently the proud “mom” of Siberian Huskies, a Golden Retriever and cats. Laurie loves Huskies because of their boundless energy, curiosity and zest for life and she’s enjoyed skijoring, biking and dog sledding with her Huskies, Milo, Moki, Murphy, and Mya.
Over the past six years, she has found it very difficult to find a dog retreat in the area equipped to handle her high-energy "fur kids". Because of the difficulty in finding an appropriate program, Laurie began her dream of creating a boarding and daycare facility with a large outdoor play area to keep her dogs active and happy.
Bark Bus Depot began as a transportation-only service for pets in a "groovy" tie-died bus. Then in 2014, she found the current location with its large outdoor areas close to downtown Naperville. She saw the opportunity to combine her love for canines and her passion for caring and nurturing. She knew this was the right place for her and her five active "fur kids" and their future friends! Laurie's philosophy of pet care is to keep them active, engaged and always growing and learning.
Laurie and her family are delighted to finally have a place for their beloved dogs. Max, Mya, Murphy, Moki and Milo are also happy to run and play in their new yard and they can't wait to have your furry family members join them in their new adventures!
